My passion for drawing and painting began in high school, with every free period devoted to art. A realistic foundation was drilled into me at that time which has definitely helped in developing who I am today as an artist. Being taught in the traditional method, has allowed me the discipline and focus to evolve and push myself where I am today - having the freedom to paint what I feel.

Currently, my focus is abstract expressionism, working in both acrylic and oil. I find the freedom of painting strokes of emotion on a canvas in abstraction exhilarating.  The movement of the paint; the energy and feeling it exudes is what I strive for everyday in the studio.

I’ve always been drawn to Matisse and Pollock for their lack of fear; their bold strokes - be it in blocks, lines or color. Their willingness to evolve into who they were as artists is what led them to greatness.
